Our Staff

Maia Songcuan
Is the practice principal and has over fifteen years experience as a physiotherapist. Her areas of interests are headaches, pre/ post natal care and family health. Maia has completed a wide range of courses over the years including Clinical Pilates, Dean Watson Headache course, McKenzie method, Mulligan technique and dry needling. Maia enjoys the challenge of running the practice as well as being a mother for her three young children. This enables her to appreciate the variety of issues a new mum and children can encounter.

She conducts evening and Saturday morning Pilates classes. Maia particularly enjoys the Mum’s n Bubs Pilates sessions.


Rebecca Wait
Has over twelve  years experience and has been in private practice for most of this. She has a special interest in shoulder, sporting and spinal injuries. Rebecca has completed all levels of Clinical Pilates, Dean Watson Headache course and dry needling for pain relief.

Rebecca enjoys playing netball for several teams and is often down by the coast on the weekends taking her daughter surfing or keeping the garden under control. Rebecca conducts Pilates classes during the day throughout the week.

She firmly believes in the use of specific exercises for injury prevention.


Rebecca Harford
Becky has special interests is the areas of myofascial pain, headaches and injury prevention.

She has completed many courses; including Dry Needling, Sports taping, Dean Watson Headache course and Clinical Pilates.

Becky has spent time working as a football trainer/physiotherapist and when not in the practice you will probably find her at the driving range or out on the golf course. She conducts Pilates classes both during the day and evening throughout the week.


Monica Lobo
Monica joined the team over six months ago after being on maternity leave for a year. She graduated in 2001 and worked primarily in paediatrics and rehabilitation. In 2006 she completed her post graduate course in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Auckland, New Zealand. Monica uses a combination of osteopathy and physiotherapy techniques for joint mobilization particularly in the treatment of spinal pain. She also conducts Clinical Pilates classes in the evenings.

When not at work she enjoys taking long walks and running after her energetic son.



Kidd Leong
Kidd graduated from Latrobe University and finished on the Dean’s Honours List for being in the top 5% of graduates. Kidd’s interest lies in sports physiotherapy and has extensive experience in this area working with officiating staff in the A-League, sports academy developmental programs in basketball/netball and state league soccer and football teams. He believes in injury prevention by the implementation of stretching programs and core stabilization exercises in young athletes. Kidd has also completed courses in Clinical Pilates and Dry Needling.

Kidd spends his spare time playing basketball and barracking for the Essendon Bombers.
